Keith has been announced as one of the big names slated to play the CMA Music festival!

Country stars sign on for 2010 CMA Music Festival
Published by Peter Cooper

on February 18, 2010

Carrie Underwood, Rascal Flatts, Keith Urban, Reba McEntire, Brad Paisley, Martina McBride, Darius Rucker, Lady Antebellum and the Zac Brown Band will perform in nightly spotlight performances at the 2010 CMA Music Festival, which takes place in downtown Nashville June 10–13.

Three of the nine didn’t hit the big stage at LP Field last year: Underwood signed autographs in the Exhibit Hall but did not sing; Urban last performed in 2008 as a surprise act; and Rascal Flatts was scheduled for a 2009 performance but it fell through when rain delays pushed their set too close to departure time for their next concert.

The other six scheduled artists will be back on the main stage for at least the second straight year.

Musicians donate their time for the festival, with half the net proceeds over the past three years going to support Metro Nashville Public Schools through the Keep The Music Playing program. More than $3 million has been raised thus far for music education through this CMA/Metro Nashville Public Schools collaboration, with the 2009 festival raising $1,066,632.

"Till Summer Comes Around" is Keith's 22nd Top 10 single of his career!

Kevin Cronin, from the band REO Speedwagon on Keith Urban

“I actually know people my age who have kind of shut down and started losing the vibe as time goes by and I think that’s really terrible,” he says. “Music will continue to evolve and I’m always curious about what will come next up the pike. I really like the Foo Fighters, who I feel have kind of continued the tradition we were part of. Also the Kings of Leon have really good songs and have that Midwestern thing that seems really familiar and really fresh at the same time. I also think that John Mayer’s songwriting is really coming to full bloom on his new album.

“Someone told me that there’s a video of Keith Urban doing a version of ‘Keep On Loving You’ making the rounds on YouTube, which I find very flattering. Keith is a very talented musician and I think that’s a great honor.”

More Lady A Love!

From Dave Haywood, Lady Antebellum iTunes Celebrity Playlist 2010....

Keith Urban - You'll Think Of Me - "My favorite country artist. A flawless vocalist, guitar player, and songwriter, this guy does it all. A good breakup song, and I love the production on this track."

Did you catch Oprah today (02/19)? Lady A was the musical guest and lead singer Charles Kelly named Keith Urban one of the Nashville artists that opened the doors for a group like his!

An update on the Danish Girl project!

How do you avoid charges of sensationalism if you set out to make a movie about the world's first sex-change operation?

The simple answer is that you aim high. You set out to deliver a serious story and a quality product free of lurid tabloid exploitation.

It also helps to attach some big-name talent to the enterprise. People like Oscar-winning actresses Nicole Kidman and Gwyneth Paltrow and director Lasse Hallstrom.

Hallstrom says that, if all goes well, shooting on The Danish Girl will begin in May in Europe, and he couldn't be more enthusiastic about a project that's already generating controversy, and which will test the talents of all concerned.

Keith and Sunday!

We had a chance this week to chat with Keith Urban and we asked about his his little Valentine, daughter, Sunday Rose. It's hard to believe that she's already more than a year and a half old and, as smart as she is cute says Keith who told us about one of her "out of the mouth of babes" moments.

"There was this magazine on the table with Johnny Depp on the cover and she walked over to it looked at the picture of Depp and said, 'Dad da!' I said to Nicole, 'Is there something you want to tell me?!' She's in a good phase right now, she's 19 months old, just incredibly inquisitive, she's a problem solver and incredibly active, she's just a great time."

Keith Urban, Nicole Kidman Make Huge Pledge to Haiti
Posted Feb 18th 2010 8:45AM by Marianne Horner

After taking part in the star-studded Hope for Haiti Now telethon last month, Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman are extending their efforts, pledging their unified, monetary support for school in in the earthquake-ravaged country.

"We're actually going to be funding a school down there for the next five years," says Keith (quote via radio station CatCountry 96). "It's in Port-Au-Prince. The kids will also have one hot meal a day. They'll have all of their medical taken care of by the school, and clothing, as well."

Last month, Keith and Nicole were among those who attended a $5,000-per-person brunch to raise funds for long-term relief for Haiti. The couple pledged $50,000 a year for the next five years in support of the cause. The one-day event raised $4.5 million for immediate emergency relief and also for long-term relief, so that the plight of the people of Haiti will not be forgotten once it is out of the news.

The long-term effort to fund a school is being spearheaded by Nicole and her friend, Oscar-winning director Paul Haggis through the Artists for Peace and Justice organization, which will also be funding several other schools through privately-raised monies in months to come. Haggis and his wife are personally covering all expenses and overhead of the relief organization, to ensure that every penny raised goes directly to the relief effort.

That's a lot of stuff for 2 people whose career is in the toilet! Everyday we see how wrong they are. Today and yesterday we saw what cowards they are. Not one stepped up to confront Oh"so"Loony just like they never tell taralea or stephanie/tattler to f-off. They whisper behind their backs about how crazy these nuts are but not one has ever said 'get the hell out of my club cause you're an idiot'. Instead they say nothing. If any of them had any integrity, they would have told OSL she was wrong to wish death on anybody but no, they slither away and change the subject just like they always do. They are the weakest bunch of losers I've ever seen. They talk big but they are very small when it comes to character and today proved it.

Oh dear, this week should give the morons a lot of headaches. I guess Ted Casablanca and Lainey will have to try hard to find something to make them feel better, lol.

You may want to add the delicious photoshoots of NK in February Vogue Italia and February Luomo Vogue (Vogue for Men).

Congrates, you guys nailed the idiots !

I read some old old posts today and ya know what? The very same comments were made back then.
Nothing new, nothing meaningful, just the same exact words. Oh yea once in awhile it came out of another mouth (different screen name at the time ? ha ha) but how many times in 5 years can they say the same over and over?
They are cowards and never even answer a direct question.
They just spew the same garbage that has been said for 5 years! LMAO

Integrity is something those cowards know nothing about.

Thanks SM for showing them up for exactly what they are day in and day out.

Did you ever notice when Taralea talks no one ever pays any attention to her posts ?

They ignore her and continue talking their own nonsense.

Anonymous said...

Maybe they didn't say anything to the crazy oh so leery because they agree with her and wish bad things would happen to Keith, Nicole, and Sunday. Those are some real sick women.

They really are boring though, I think I am done reading their crazy words and reading about them, but you have done some really good work shining a light on their hate.

SkewerMistress said...

They are indeed just as hateful. Mimosa previously told Oh so Loony she was full of it but their numbers have dwindled and they've all been shown as fools for a long time now so they stay silent.

Anonymous said...

Oh boy Mimsy must be drunk again. When she gets really men that is apparent she is drunk!

They are talking & answering themselves again. ha ha

OR JUST MAYBE THEY DON'T LIKE READING THE TRUTH HERE ON THE BLOG?????

Verity said...

I was told by another poster that oSL won't be banned because making threats against celebs is allowed. The only way she'll be banned is if she personally attacks posters which is revolting.

SkewerMistress said...

That figures.

Anonymous said...

It's a known fact that the only way to get banned is by personally bashing another poster. That's why imahick turns every post around and whines about being attacked. What a liar. She's one of the biggest haters around and is a moderator on Urban Myths.

Taralea is a big ass chicken . She trys to coach her ever shrinking team instead of saying what she wants said herself.

She tries to lead the conversation to the topic the way she wants it. Doesn't work though because they just fly past her posts and talk about the stupid nonsense they always do, over and over.
NMF is a prime example of that. The things she posts are down right dumb and she looks foolish.
Another example, Mimsy. She is so down right vulgar and mean her post come off just that way and make her look foolish too.

They are going to need a few new user names , so watch out for "oh I have lurked here so long, but now I want to post". LOL Ever heard that stupid line before? (only to begin right where they left off in the conversation)

I wonder what pretend personality they will get next. So their idea of clever is sadly lacking . Ofcourse they all have several user names to draw from though.

Who cares what IMH says. Everyone has her number.

She likes to think of herself as a good person, a misunderstood HATER.
Her mirror cracks every time she looks into it and she just can't figure out why? LMAO

Anonymous said...

Im a Hick's TWO MOST FAMOUS WORDS..

I'm Done! LMAO

Everytime she gets shown up for what she is, she states her famous 2 words.

Anonymous said...

BAHA Anon 2:20! I thought the same thing! Hicky said she was done a long time ago but she's addicted so she keeps coming back. Hey Hicky! The reason why you're all lumped in together is because you're all crazy!

It was good that she supported the cause. I'm sure the reason she was unable to do the walk was related to the zuchini harvest. You can't let them sit in the garden when they're ready to be picked. I'm sure she needed to get them in so she could put up the pickles and freeze some for zuchini bread.

> right. We get it.

You obviously don't read my posts. I actually said she did a good thing. I believe she was effective at raising awareness for that event. Don't assume everyone who has a skeptical thought about KUNK hates NK. That's not true.

Trying to get yourself out of that circle you've painted yourself into imahick?

The day you stand up to Mimosa, nomore, or any of the other's hateful posters on E, maybe then we won't lump you in with the rest of that sick, nasty crew.

Until then, stop your whining!
