2010 CMT Music Awards Performers See Significant Sales Increases

The 2010 CMT MUSIC AWARDS drove both physical and digital sales increases for nearly every performer on the live show, which aired JUNE 9th on CMT.
According to SOUNDSCAN, TOBY KEITH, ZAC BROWN BAND and KEITH URBAN generated the most substantial increases in full album sales following the telecast, with 28%, 26% and 23%, respectively. URBAN and LADY ANTEBELLUM debuted unreleased songs from their current albums and both saw triple digit gains in digital track sales (978% and 253%, respectively).
JAMEY JOHNSON revealed his brand-new single, “Macon,” on the show, which jumped to #14 on the iTUNES COUNTRY chart the next day, as well as #21 on SOUNDSCAN’s Country digital track chart. ZAC BROWN BAND’s “Free,” TIM McGRAW’s “Southern Voice,” TOBY KEITH’s “American Ride” and MIRANDA LAMBERT’s “White Liar” all pulled in a significant double-digit increase in digital track sales.
