Just as Skewering The Skeptics said it was possible, Keith Urban and John Mayer will be performing live together for a special show. This debunks the rumor spread by the E! Online Skeptics, maclen, and Lainey Lui that the two guitar masters would be going on tour together after the Crossroads taping. What did we tell ya haters?!

Keith Urban and John Mayer will come together Aug. 28 for a special live performance at The Gorge in George, WA.

The two artists met in Nashville for the first time during a taping of "CMT Crossroads," for which they collaborated on several songs, according to a press release.

"CMT Crossroads was the first time I performed with Keith but the creative rapport was there right away," Mayer said in a statement. "I hope it's one of many opportunities to work together in the future."

The CMT Crossroads special airs June 18 on CMT.

Pre-sale tickets for The Gorge show will be available from May 3 through May 7 via CMT.com. Regular ticket sales begin May 8.

Both artists also are offering pre-sale tickets beginning Saturday, May 1, at their individual websites.

Keith Urban, John Mayer Follow CMT Crossroads Taping With Spokane Concert

Keith Urban and John Mayer, who are featured on a new episode of CMT Crossroads airing June 18, will share the bill during a special concert scheduled for Aug. 28 at the Gorge in Spokane, Wash. Beginning Saturday (May 1) at 10 a.m. PT, fans will have the opportunity to purchase tickets before the general public by visiting the artists' websites -- www.JohnMayer.com and www.KeithUrban.net. Another pre-sale opportunity via CMT.com begins Monday (May 3) at 10 a.m. PT and runs through May 7 at 10 p.m. PT. Tickets will become available to the public on May 8th at 10 a.m. PT. "CMT Crossroads was the first time I performed with Keith, but the creative rapport was there right away," Mayer said. Urban added, "There's a certain simpatico between us as guitar players that, I think, comes from sharing the same desire to express the unwritten. Playing together at the Gorge will be like adding a musical score to the most magnificent setting in a film."
