Congratulations Nicole Kidman, Emmy Nominee!

It was a great morning for the cast and crew of HBO's Hemingway and Gellhorn! The producation amassed a total of 15 nominations, the most of any stand-alone television movie this year. Congrats to everyone! This is Nicole's first Emmy nomination!

"Such an honor to be included in these group of nominees. Am so excited to go to my first Emmy awards. Nic xx"

"My husband’s got the day off, so we will go and pick up our daughters from this little kind of preschool thing and then we’ll go get Popsicles," she said. "That sounds cheesy. But it's 90-something degrees out, so that will be our celebration."

Thanks SM! One more feather in the cap for the Urban family.

Nicole Kidman: Lead actress, miniseries or movie By Karen Ballard, HBO

Nicole Kidman is at home in the south, with her family. "I'm in Nashville. In the heat," says the Oscar winner, who's nominated for HBO's Hemingway & Gellhorn.

For her, the nod is "a huge acknowledgment of this movie. We put so much work into it. I wasn’t expecting it. I didn't know the nominations came out today which is a great way to find out. (My publicist) just called me. And it was good news."

She's spending her day with daughter Faith and Sunday. "We're going to have popsicles. Both of them are in a little pre-school summer camp thing at the moment. I'm taking the little one to a music class and then we're picking Sunny up and getting popsicles. No champagne for me," says Kidman.

Her summer is part play and part work. "I've been working on the Grace Kelly movie. I'm prepping it now. I want to really go in with my homework done. It's fascinating," she says, of playing real people. "I want to find the way their mind works. With Martha that was easier because she wrote so much. With Grace, I've got to dig around more and find footage of her speaking."

And she's looking forward to attending the Emmys. "It'll be fun to meet some people at the awards show. It's like being invited to a different prom," says Kidman

Wonderful news for Nicole! Unfortunately, everything takes a back seat to the terrible shooting in Colorado. I hope people start remembering what's really important in our short lives. But congrats to Nicole and Clive as well as my favs Breaking Bad and Boardwalk Empire.
PS: It's nice to see the haters finally booted from E and off in cyberspace somewhere.

Hey! I didn't realize you were back, Skewer Mistress! Also didn't know the E board was gone until I just went over there and saw an entirely new setup. Well well, the skeptics were finally silenced! There is a God! Bahaha! Congrats to Nicole on her first Emmy nod. Didn't see the show cause I don't have HBO but if it was worthy of a nomination, it must have been good. I second the above poster about Breaking Bad. Hands down the show with the wildest ride. Good to see you back, SM!

Just an announcement - since TPB at E! have decided to leave the message boards online I have deleted the E! archive of links. Without the the urls you can't access the threads and therefore can't read the hate. -SM

SM, I wish you'd post more current things. I'm not a member of any board and now that the E postive thread is gone, I don't know what's going on. Thanks.

Anon, I completely understand. There will be an update in the next few days, possibly tomorrow. However, the need for this blog to do daily or weekly updates is just not there with plenty of websites, fansites, and message boards constantly updated with the latest information. And, I no longer have the time to update the blog that frequently. The positive thread was created for the simple fact that the mod at E! was not employed to spend every working hour monitoring the skeptics and their antics - death threats, bashing fans, outrageous lies including imaginary relationships with Keith, and knowledge of serious crimes i.e. physical violence, child neglect, pedophilia etc etc. Also, the mod had to back up E!'s insane policy of allowing practically anything to be posted about a celebrity instead of banning them. To that end the positive thread served as the truth behind the lies. The skeptics today are dead in the water with only their grand delusions. That thread debunked the skeptics' lies from every angle. It was never meant as a place for fans to flock for updates. But we all saw the viewing numbers proved differently. No amount of skeptics clicking away at their own thread trying to keep it at the top would help. Now the sanitarium for all intents and purposes is closed. The skeptics wanted the public see their lies but the board is no longer accessible to most.

If you would like, email me at skewermistress@gmail.com and I can give you the address of a fantastic message board that is always updated. It covers Keith's career, Nicole's career, and the family. Normally I would have no problem posting a link but I won't have this blog be responsible for an infestation of skeptics over there. They've tried it before with other sites, even joining and posing as fans.

Thanks for your support!
